Women’s Healthcare of Southern Indiana specializes in the gynecological care that matters to you.
Your annual well-woman visit is an important part of helping you stay healthy throughout your lifetime. During your annual exam, you’ll get a chance to go over your medical history and current health habits. It’s a great time to touch base with your provider about any health concerns on your mind.
Each well-woman exam will include an age appropriate physical exam and, equally important, relevant screenings (like Pap test) designed to detect possible diseases or problems so they can be caught and treated early.
For many women, conceiving a child can prove to be more challenging than they anticipate. We understand the frustration and confusion, and if you’re struggling to conceive, we’re here to help. We can perform a thorough evaluation that takes many factors into consideration. We’ll then work with you to provide thoughtful follow-up treatment for potential fertility challenges.
After menopause, many women’s bodies stop producing certain hormones, leading to uncomfortable symptoms. Hormone replacement therapy can be an effective way to treat these symptoms, as well as to prevent bone loss and reduce the possibility of bone fractures in women who are postmenopausal. Because hormone therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, we take care to tailor each treatment plan to your needs.
If you’re struggling with urologic and pelvic problems, we can help. We provide treatment to women facing incontinence or overactive bladders, as well as vaginal prolapse and pelvic pain or discomfort.
In many cases, STIs don’t have clear signs or symptoms, so it can be difficult to know if you’ve been infected unless you get tested. Depending on your age or risk factors, you may benefit from being tested more or less frequently. We provide comprehensive screening and follow-up treatment for all of the most common sexually transmitted diseases.
Women’s Healthcare of Southern Indiana provides many different types of contraception, including permanent contraception. We’ll talk with you to determine the best solution to meet your needs.
If you’re experiencing bleeding from the uterus that lasts longer than normal or is coming at unexpected times, you could be experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding. Abnormal uterine bleeding can happen when a woman’s ovaries don’t release an egg or when a woman has a hormonal imbalance. We help treat abnormal uterine bleeding through a variety of methods, and we’ll talk with you to determine the right fit for you.
